Private Community Care Services
Interact provides an extensive range of services to support individuals of all ages and backgrounds with special needs who live on the Sunshine Coast. Our services enable people to continue to live in their own homes in an environment that is safe and secure. We also encourage and support our clients to remain active and continue to participate in their local community. In addition, Interact Community Care Services provide respite and support for family members and carers who have taken on the responsibility of caring for a loved one with a disability or complex care needs.
The Approach
We adopt a holistic, flexible approach to care that promotes independence, choice and wellbeing. Care Plans are client focused and individually tailored to meet the needs and interests of each individual client and their families. Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year across the Sunshine Coast.

- Home Safety Assessment & House Sitting Services

- In-home respite
- Overnight care
- Individual meal preparation

- Small Group Activities
- Art and/or Craft Groups
- Regular Shopping & library trips
- Social outings and events
- Planned Men’s Shed

How to get involved?
Eligibility
There are no criteria or eligibility restrictions to access Interact Community Care Services. If you, or someone you know is in need of these services simply contact us to arrange a free, confidential interview.
Referrals
Anyone over the age of 18 years can make a referral to Interact Community Care Services including:
- Individual self-referral
- Family members
- A carer, friend or neighbour
- Your GP or health professional
- Another Care Service or
- A representative from local community group
Fees
Interact Community Care is a private service and our fee structure varies depending on the types of services needed and the times they are required. All fees are discussed at the initial interview.
Our general service rates are:
Monday to Friday (6am – 8pm) $38.00 per hour
Monday to Friday (8pm – 6am) $42.00 per hour
Weekends and Public Holidays $56.00 per hour
